Other Reference Renewable Fuels Association (RFA): This is the voice of the ethanol industry, and the major lobbying entity for ethanol. The RFA is supported by its members who are mainly ethanol producers. Their website is one of the best sources of information on ethanol. American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE): ACE is similar to RFA, and its members consist of many ethanol plants that are farmer cooperative owned. The ACE website is also an excellent source of information. National Corn Growers Association (NCGA): Ethanol is NCGA's highest priority among all corn grower platforms. Their website is an excellent source of government sponsored studies, and independent 3rd party studies on the benefits of ethanol, and positive energy balance of ethanol production. Click on "Ethanol and Co-Products" in the left column of the home page. You may like reading the study on "Ethanol and the Local Community". National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC): This is the organization that supports, and promotes the use of E85 fuel and E85 flex fuel vehicles. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Flex fuel vehicles, otherwise referred to E85 vehicles, are made by all the major auto manufacturers, and can run on E85, gasoline, or any mix of both in the gas tank. NEVC spends most its efforts helping to build E85 tanks and pumps at gasoline stations around the country. Note also the partiotic logo on the home page. National Biodiesel Board (NBB): NBB is clearly the best source anywhere for information on biodiesel. They are funded by the United Soybean Board, as well as members of NBB, such as biodiesel producers and marketers. NBB spends much effort promoting the benefits of biodiesel through many different conduits.
